Back in the summer of 2012 American Precision Dicing was faced with a dilemma.
Our laser group was doing very well but not in the way we expected. When we brought the laser process on line we expected it to complement our mechanical dicing processes. However, what we found was that our customers wanted a lot of add-on processes supplied with the laser services. Those services were supplied by a large number of outside vendors. The laser group had grown into something that required radically different management skills. We found that the skills required to be successful were Project, Operations and Logistics management. As it turns out, we are very good at that.
On January 1, 2013 the laser group was renamed DPG and was spun off from American Precision Dicing, Inc.
DPG’s Mission is: To assemble and manage a group of dynamic highly specialized process vendors to create a super group that brings more value to the market place than the sum of its parts.
You could say that DPG is the catalyst that makes the synergy happen.
We are always looking for vendors with excellent process quality, extreme flexibility and very short turn times. We are constantly evaluating our current vendors and qualifying new ones.
Hence the name “Dynamic Process Group”
